Our team got a chance to experience the specially crafted menu curated by their executive chef Kshama Prabhu and her team. We had an amazing time experiencing all the mind blowing varieties of Indian flavours and finger food. The barman showered us with the finest quality of cocktails and drinks. The music collection was perfect for a Saturday night. Our most recommended dishes and drinks include Butter Podi Idli, Jalapeno Cheese Ragada Pattice, Kung Pao Potato, Cheesy Mexican Bean Nachos, Amritsari Kulcha Platter, Kung Pao Chicken, Grilled Fish with Podi Butter and Ghee Rice, Misal Pav Fondue, Caprioska, Whiskey Old Fashioned, Tropical Fashion, Red Wine Sangria, Coffee blended Cocktail and Mommas Rocky Road Sundae. They have a limited set of options in desserts as the ambience is mainly intended for enjoying good music, food and drinks. The Bar Stock Exchange is also open for hosting corporate events and live music events for they have an enormous space. Do read the funky quotes posted on the walls. Bangaloreans, get ready to experience one of the biggest and the yummiest parathas in town. Mooch Marod, located near Chansandra, Whitefield serves around 40 varieties of mind blowing parathas and 22 types of Lassi. We are not talking about the regular 6 to 7 inch parathas here. These special emperor parathas are 24-inch in size and weigh around 2Kg. Yes, you heard that right. Eating this huge 24-inch paratha on your own could be one of your biggest dream ever. This place follows a traditional dhaba style seating and reserves a spacious parking space for their customers. Now, who is excited to go out on a paratha spree?

Parathas, Lassi and Bangalore Weather

These enormous parathas come in three variants: Queen Size (15-inch), King Size (20-inch) and Emperor Size (24-inch). You need a minimum of 3 people to finish an emperor size paratha.

Aloo Gobi Paratha and Mix Veg Paratha

These massive parathas taste better than your home cooked regular parathas. Due to their enormous size and the amount of butter they add, it becomes almost impossible for a single person to finish this. These parathas are definitely worth your time and money and will leave your taste buds tingling. You can enjoy these delicious parathas with some pickle placed alongside. Also, you will be given an extra bowl of butter if you are running short of it.

Bucket Lassi

Lassi and Paratha is indeed the best combination to go with. This bucket lassi is about 2 Litre in quantity and comes in different flavours, namely, Mooch Marod’s special lassi, sweet lassi, salty lassi, pudina lassi, jira lassi, masala lassi, jaggary lassi, elaichi lassi, strawberry lassi, gulkand lassi, mango lassi, rooh afza lassi and litchi lassi. Please don’t try to mix up everything for your stomach can get upset. You can just order a small queen size lassi of your favourite flavour.

Overall Experience and Rating

Our entire team had an amazing time experiencing all the mind blowing varieties of parathas and lassis. We had ordered 4 emperor sized parathas, 12 smaller portions (queen size) of lassi and one bucket lassi. The traditional dhaba style seating in a wooden charpai and an open airy space makes the atmosphere more vibrant and peaceful. The taste of their special parathas and lassi will definitely take you back to north india. Some of our recommendations include Paneer Onion Paratha, Mixed Veg Paratha, Baby Corn Onion Paratha, Aloo Gobi Paratha, Gulkand Lassi, Litchi Lassi, Mango Lassi and Mooch Marod’s special Lassi. Mooch Marod is not only known for their enormous sized parathas and flavoured lassi but also for having a courteous and a friendly staff. The owner of this place, Anish is very generous and kind-hearted. Their entire team offers a special discount of 15% to the Indian army. Right from the taste, size and variety of the Parathas and Lassis to the seating arrangements and service offered, everything seemed perfect. We are really glad that we came across this place. We usually try to follow this old saying: “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper“.

You can enjoy this yummilicious margarita pizza near the poolside seating area. This pizza contains only cheese and tomato but no one would dare underestimate its taste. This is definitely one of the most recommended pizzas from our end.

We had an amazing stay for 2 nights 3 days and it was undoubtedly a heavenly experience. Your eyes just cannot skip their spacious reception and lobby area once you enter this property. Also, they have around 3-4 restaurants inside the property for taking good care of their guests. Entertainment would just be a small word for them. We absolutely fell in love with their extravagant temperature-controlled pool and half olympic-sized swimming pool. Other amenities include super Lavish Suite Rooms, Bowling, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Carrom, Squash, Pocket Pool, Billiards, Game Zone, Badminton, Spa and Saloon and what not. This property is purely intended for people looking for a lavish staycation experience. We had a splendid time covering this property and would love to pay a visit again. Also, we would like to extend a huge thank you to the sales team for arranging such an amazing staycation experience for us.

We were quite excited for the launch of this interactive gaming cafe. The PR team gave us a quick walk through of the entire cafe describing about the entrance, roadmap on the wall and the fun games kept for their guests. They had arranged a special blogger table for all the social media influencers. The chef not only spoke about his best curated dishes and shakes but also helped everyone make their own shake. The special smoothie cycle followed by some unique fun games including board games, Xbox, PS4 and VR added a fun element to this cafe. We really enjoyed eating Cheese Garlic Hasselback which was a lovely combination of criss-cross cut-eyed Bread oozing with molten Mozzarella. Other recommended food dishes/shakes include Three Pepper Soya Chaap Pizza, Pasta Mariscos, Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sub, Mughlai Chicken Burger and Death by Chocolate Shake. Aren’t you drooling over all this already? So hurry up and spend the most of this evening with your friends playing some fun-filled games while sipping some of their mouthwatering shakes.

Mata Vaishno Devi temple being one of the most visited sacred places in India is located in Katra district. It is one of the oldest of all the temples in India. Also, very few people are aware about the street food offerings in Jammu district. Jammu markets are flooded with a huge variety of street food delicacies. Right from their punjabi chole to nutri kulcha, kalhadi kulcha and chana kulcha, everything would lead you to an ounce of satisfaction. Kashmir, on the other hand, is called “Paradise on Earth”. It is quite famous for its Pashmina wool, shawl and fine quality of stols. It is indeed the best sightseeing place in India.

Along with the houseboats, one can easily spot a floating market containing a huge variety of local shops selling kashmiri fabrics, kesar and other daily essentials.

Mughal Gardens, Srinagar

The Mughal Gardens in Srinagar are the most awaited ones. With terraced lawns, paint-box-bright flowerbeds and cascading fountains and with the perfect panorama of the Dal lake in front of them – the three Mughal Gardens of Chesmashahi, Nishat and Shalimar follow the mughal emperors’ concept of paradise and indeed are the most famous places for picnics and excursions.

Gulmarg, Kashmir

Located at 92 Kms away from Pakistan, this hill station of Gondola comes with two phases, namely, Phase-1 and Phase-2. Phase-1 is approximately 7000 Feet high from the ground and Phase-2 is almost double of that distance. The only way to reach these two phases is by the means of cable car arranged by Indian government. You need a pair of gum boots to walk on these snow clad regions. Phase-1 contains a bunch of snow activities including skiing, sledding and snowmobile. Whereas Phase-2 would give you a breathtaking view of snow clad mountains. The temperature falls to minus 20 degree in winter. Carrying a couple of warm clothes is advisable.

A restaurant by the name “Sheer-E-Punjab” located right next to taxi stand in Katra serves such mind blowing mini pizzas. The cheese pull of the pizza is something never to be missed. This pizza contains schezwan sauce on top of the bread, melted mozzarella cheese and some pieces of capsicum to pacify your taste buds.

Amongst the countless variety of street food offerings, Malai Kulfi would be an immediate pick from the list. The ice cream vendor comes with a funky cycle to sell some amazing flavours of Kulfi. You can also try out their nutri kulchas, samosa and mind blowing varieties of chaat.

Hitting the streets of Jammu was the most amazing thing. We couldn’t miss out a single food item in the market. Jammu market should definitely be your next shopping spree. We stayed in Jammu for 3 nights and covered some nearby sightseeing places. The climate in Jammu and Kashmir varies greatly owing to its rugged topography. The houseboats in Kashmir have a novel type of accommodation containing a fully heated two bedroom luxury room, well decorated interiors and comfortable sofa seatings. We were offered an amazing stay for 3 nights in the traditional plateau group of houseboats. Thanks to the PR team for taking good care of us at the venue. Places to visit in Kashmir include Dal lake in Srinagar, Mughal gardens surrounding the lake, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg. If you happen to visit Gulmarg, you should definitely try some snow activities like skiing, sledding and snowmobile. The view from the cable car would be simply breathtaking. Also, Kashmir is famous for its best quality saffron, walnuts and apples. Spend your time wisely if you are going there for a short trip. There are many beautiful places on this “Paradise on Earth” awaiting your presence.
