The Bar Stock Exchange

BSE.jpeg

Trade and Drink !!!

India’s first stock market based pub chain is seeking an unprecedented importance in multiple cities across India. The Bar Stock Exchange is similar to a real stock exchange where customers can compete with each other and the system to score the best prices on their choice of drinks. The stock exchange trades all the spirits, be it beer, whiskey, or cocktails. The customers wait for the prices to drop and order their drinks at the cheapest of rates. When there is a high demand on any kind of spirits, the rates would be set high. When the market crashes, a loud siren is played, the screens on the bar and your app show you a notification, and the prices crash all the way to their cost price aka MRP once again! The interior will steal your heart away and the humongous space helps keep the crowd engaged.  With a pocket friendly food menu and an extraordinary bar concept, this place is the next hangout destination in your city.

If there’s one thing that can ruin your night, it’s the bill at the end of the party. But, if you like trading and drinking, you are at the right place. Individual orders can be placed for the same table using different devices. So when the market goes low, you can instantly order your favourite drink with a single button click. The Bar Stock Exchange is currently based in three cities, namely, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. So, make the most of it. 😉

Let’s discuss about their favorite drink/delicacy:

  • Amritsari Kulcha Platter, Cheesy Nachos and Butter Podi Idli

Emperor of All Parathas !!!

Bangaloreans, get ready to experience one of the biggest and the yummiest parathas in town. Mooch Marod, located near Chansandra, Whitefield serves around 40 varieties of mind blowing parathas and 22 types of Lassi. We are not talking about the regular 6 to 7 inch parathas here. These special emperor parathas are 24-inch in size and weigh around 2Kg. Yes, you heard that right. Eating this huge 24-inch paratha on your own could be one of your biggest dream ever. This place follows a traditional dhaba style seating and reserves a spacious parking space for their customers. Now, who is excited to go out on a paratha spree?

Parathas, Lassi and Bangalore Weather

These enormous parathas come in three variants: Queen Size (15-inch), King Size (20-inch) and Emperor Size (24-inch). You need a minimum of 3 people to finish an emperor size paratha.

Let’s discuss about their favorite drink/delicacy:

  • Aloo Gobi Paratha and Mix Veg Paratha

These massive parathas taste better than your home cooked regular parathas. Due to their enormous size and the amount of butter they add, it becomes almost impossible for a single person to finish this. These parathas are definitely worth your time and money and will leave your taste buds tingling. You can enjoy these delicious parathas with some pickle placed alongside. Also, you will be given an extra bowl of butter if you are running short of it.

  • Bucket Lassi

Lassi and Paratha is indeed the best combination to go with. This bucket lassi is about 2 Litre in quantity and comes in different flavours, namely,  Mooch Marod’s special lassi, sweet lassi, salty lassi, pudina lassi, jira lassi, masala lassi, jaggary lassi, elaichi lassi, strawberry lassi, gulkand lassi, mango lassi, rooh afza lassi and litchi lassi. Please don’t try to mix up everything for your stomach can get upset. You can just order a small queen size lassi of your favourite flavour.

Overall Experience and Rating

Our entire team had an amazing time experiencing all the mind blowing varieties of parathas and lassis. We had ordered 4 emperor sized parathas, 12 smaller portions (queen size) of lassi and one bucket lassi. The traditional dhaba style seating in a wooden charpai and an open airy space makes the atmosphere more vibrant and peaceful. The taste of their special parathas and lassi will definitely take you back to north india. Some of our recommendations include Paneer Onion Paratha, Mixed Veg Paratha, Baby Corn Onion Paratha, Aloo Gobi Paratha, Gulkand Lassi, Litchi Lassi, Mango Lassi and Mooch Marod’s special Lassi. Mooch Marod is not only known for their enormous sized parathas and flavoured lassi but also for having a courteous and a friendly staff. The owner of this place, Anish is very generous and kind-hearted. Their entire team offers a special discount of 15% to the Indian army. Right from the taste, size and variety of the Parathas and Lassis to the seating arrangements and service offered, everything seemed perfect. We are really glad that we came across this place. Special thanks to Anish and his entire team for the wonderful hospitality. Don’t forget to participate in Mooch Marods ongoing challenge which goes as: If a single person finishes 2 emperor size parathas within an hour, he/she will get a cash prize of Rs.5000. Good Luck!

IMG_20161210_150217806_HDR.jpg

Ever wondered about melted cheese saving your day ! A must try appetizer for all the cheese lovers. This gives an immense pleasure to your taste buds from the very first bite. The melted cheese in the croquettes is really exceptional and never to be missed. This dish was a perfect one for the evening right from its taste to the presentation.

  • Beer Mojito

    IMG_20161210_144041104_HDR.jpg

A refreshing beverage and not only for beer lovers. Peppermint leaves have a more intense flavour than other mint varieties and also have some bitter notes. This goes well together with the different malty and bitter flavours of many German beer varieties. If you prefer a non-alcoholic Mojito, look out for a alcohol reduced or non-alcoholic beer. This beer cocktail caught our attention and we were really amused looking at the presentation.

Overall Experience and Rating

It was a sweet escape where we could cover almost each and every food item on their fixed menu(includes the recommended food items and drinks). Non vegetarian food plays a crucial role in their food menu and a lot of people with wanderlust love trying such dishes.Vegetarian food on the other hand gives a tough fight when it comes to taste. As the table was occupied by 6 different bloggers, sipping their different sought of flavored cocktails(Coconut Margarita,Captain Espresso,Beer Mojito) one at a time while enjoying the sunset and its scenic beauty definitely made our day. Captain Espresso is one of their best cocktail adding a perfect pinch of coffee to your taste buds. This Blogger Engagement activity was well organized by their management team and their Head Chef Mr.Amit and his team made no compromise while preparing such delicious food items.Everything was filled with perfection.A pleasant evening with a perfect sunset enjoying their scrumptious food items and drinks alongside.

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights 3 days during which we covered almost each and every food item on their menu. Pizza was the missing element on their food menu.We celebrated the international beer day event as a part of blogger engagement activity and met various bloggers and editors during the event. The suite rooms have hardwood floors and feature contemporary decor. All come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, as well as minibars and tea and coffee making facilities.Their normal hotel rooms are not as spacious and cannot accommodate more than two people.A good place to  go with if you wish to stay closer to the airport.
