Sea Plane Transfers
Dusit Thani Maldives is just 45 mins away from the Male Seaplane transfer terminal. You would be amazed to view the beautiful picturesque of the islands and corals from the top. The seaplane experience is definitely not to be missed if you are traveling for the first time.
The Landing Deck (Jetty)
The Mudhdhoo Island has two jettys’ (terminals’) for the guests’ arrival. The first one is for seaplane transfers and another one for speedboats. Dusit Thani’s hospitality team offered us a welcome drink and a cool towel on arrival. They shared some relevant information about the places to explore while staying in the Dusit Thani resort. Within no time, their team collected our bags and loaded them into the beautiful moke buggy for our check-in. The island is made in a circular fashion and we even got a small tour of it before we entered our lavish villa.
Beach Villa with Pool
With a generous 122 sq. m of living space, enhanced with elegant Thai decor and comfortable beds, the stylish Beach Villa offers poolside luxury in paradise. You can step out onto your private deck for a dip or relax in the bathtub. Enjoy the open-air garden bathroom and direct beach access.
Ocean Villa with Pool

Ocean Dive Center is a third-party vendor working with Dusit Thani Maldives which offers a variety of water sports activities to its guests. Buffet Experience at The Market
Buffet experiences at The Market restaurant are never to be missed. The restaurant is located right next to the jetty and reception area. The staff is courteous and the restaurant offers a wide spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items for their guests. The Bar menu looks tempting too. Our most recommended dishes and drinks include different varieties of bread and cheese, garlic hummus and pita bread, banana with infused rum, prawns provencale, never forgets and to the moon and back cocktail, strawberry, and litchi cake and tiramisu for desserts, etc.
Sea Grill and Bar
Sea Grill restaurant is considered one of the most prime locations of Dusit Thani Maldives. The guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the Infinity pool and panoramic view of the ocean villas and deep-sea waters while they dine at the restaurant. The sound of romantic instrumental music played at the restaurant gave us a beautiful vibe and a perfect dining experience. Our most recommended dishes and drinks include fish caesar salad, classic bacon burgers with fries and dip, banana and rum-infused cocktails, over the moon cocktail, chocolate ice cream, and a melting brownie for desserts, etc.
Benjarong
Thai cuisine comes to Dusit Thani Maldives in a very innovative and lavish style. Benjarong restaurant is popularly known for its Thai-styled cuisine and amazing hospitality. The staff welcomed us with a hot napkin and offered us a perfect outdoor table with a wonderful night view of the Indian ocean. It looked like a wavy ocean surface under cloud sky and a big orange-colored moon. Our dinner table was at the farthest deck area of the restaurant (Refer Image). We could spot some beautiful fish and stingrays inside the water while enjoying our dinner. Our recommended dishes and drinks include Night caller, Mai Tai, and Tropical Daiquiri in cocktails, Gris Blanc Rose Wine from France, King prawns pad thai noodles, tom yum chicken soup, and Khao Niaow Ma Muang (Thai Mango Sticky Rice Dessert), etc.
Floating Breakfast at The Ocean Villa
Dusit Thani Maldives serves an amazing floating breakfast for their guests staying in The Ocean Villas. Their team decorated the entire floating table within no time. Breakfast food items included sunny-side-up eggs, masala omelette, grapefruits, oranges, bread, croissants, dragon fruits, kiwi, pineapple, raisins, almonds, apricots, fresh juices, watermelon, and sweet chili sauce. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Indian ocean from your ocean villa’s private swimming pool while eating this scrumptious breakfast. One of the best experiences one can ever have.
Overall Experience and Rating
We had an amazing time experiencing this beautiful world of corals. Special Thanks to @thakurjis and @vitsrulz for planning this adventurous trip for 4 nights and 5 days. After we landed at Male International airport, we stopped by a business lounge next to the airport for Lunch. The most thrilling part was our seaplane transfer from Male to Mudhdhoo Island, Maldives. We fell in love with the mesmerizing view of the corals in the Indian Ocean from the seaplane. Exploring the entire island on a bicycle was the most exciting part. After we checked in at the luxurious beach villa, we immediately scheduled our water sports activities including X-Jetblade, Seabob Underwater Scooter, Scuba diving, Wakeboarding, Fun tube, Jetski, etc. as per the slot availability. Excursions included scuba diving in deep waters, snorkeling trips with manta rays, dolphin boat experience, and sunset parasailing. The weather was just perfect for water sports and we thoroughly enjoyed all the water sports activities. Devarana Spa is one of the most relaxing spas in the Maldives and offers various types of massages to their guests. We enjoyed the scrumptious meals served at The Market, Sea Grill and Bar, and Benjarong restaurants during our stay. Swimming in the infinity pool near Sea Grill restaurant and enjoying the beautiful sunset view was the highlight of that day. The Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations at Dusit Thani Maldives were out of this world. The Ocean Villa has a private pool and access to the amazing corals in the Indian Ocean. You can borrow snorkels and fins from Ocean Dive Center during your stay and dive inside the water to explore the beautiful ocean world. We could spot hundreds of colorful fishes, stingrays, and starfish in the corals. Avoid swimming in the ocean after sunset. It could be a bit risky. We were served an amazing floating breakfast during our stay at the ocean villa. Dusit Thani Maldives even offers a photography package to their guests for clicking high-definition pictures with your partner/family/friends. The island has a gym room, photo and art studio, activity center, medical facility, herb garden, cinema center, shops, tennis courts, etc. Going on adventures and travel is one of the most exciting opportunities for us. So, pack your bags and buckle up for a mind-blowing combination of adventure, fun, and leisure at Dusit Thani Maldives.
